BackLog Heroes by NightShadered
BackLog Heroes
My friend Calluna recent became a producer on Channel Awesome! You can find her stuff here.…

Luckily, I am the only artist friend she knows, so she commissions me for the title cards!  This one is for her Let's Play Series "Backlog Heroes"…

Really proud of the colours on this one.

I try my best dammit!

Favourite genre of music: Alternative
Favourite style of art: I have allways liked anime with a dash of american style art
MP3 player of choice: My Laptop
Wallpaper of choice: Samurai 7 Screen Shot
Favourite cartoon character: I love them all except Little Bear, I'd make a rug out of him
... I obviously have passed the point of no return.

My apologies to :icontotalobelisk:, but I forfeit my round.

The thing about this tournament is that I told myself that I would only do it as long as it remained fun. No stressing about the deadline, no struggling over the writing, just good solid fun.  For the audition and the first round that worked just fine, but this second round really was a chore.

There was no initial excitement, Oharue was a character I hadn't really been following, and :icontotalobleisk:'s writing is rather different from mine, so it took me forever just to figure out how I was going to draw and write her. I struggled through the initial draft of the script and got stuck on the ending. TO this day I still don't have an ending that I'm happy with.  The writing distracted me so much that I started lagging behind on the artwork. The most frustrating thing about this experience is that it was slow enough for me to be behind, I chugged along enough to assume that if I worked harder I could catch up.

In the end, I was stressing about the round more than I wanted to, and decided to simply forfeit, the round had become more work than I had been willing to put into it.  I have several pages sketched out, but I will only share those with :icontotaloblelisk: if he wants to see them.  Good luck with the tournament buddy, you deserve after such a great round you put up.

As for me, I'm going back to work on my webcomic.  I should have something for you all to look at by the end of February, if any of you guys want to find out what Sheila's world is like in canon. Its something I've wanted to do for a long time.

2003 is much better because resolution is lower and sprites will be not that small.
